Urban Photography with Professor Francesca Ammon

Come join Penn Lens for our January GBM featuring Professor Francesca Ammon, an assistant professor in the Fine Arts department at Penn teaching graduate courses in City and Regional Planning. She will be sharing her journey related to city photography, and will be answering any questions related to the topic or anything students are curious about.

Professor Ammon focuses particularly on post-1945 urbanism and planning, and is a historian of the built environment. She has approached her work as a historian through the premise that the landscape materializes social relations, cultural values, and economic processes, and has the power to shape the physical world.

Come mingle with the members of Penn Lens as well as Professor Ammon!
